Secondary guides quote three different windows for the same fields — 4–200 KB (photograph) with 1–30 KB (signature), then 15–200 KB for both, then a 20–50 KB photograph band at 200×230 pixels.
How we handle it: Only the agreed geometry (3.5 × 4.5 cm photograph carrying name and date, 3.5 × 1.5 cm signature) and JPEG format are enforced; no byte rule is invented.
