Your files stay on your device.

Photos, signatures and documents you select are decoded, transformed and validated inside your browser. UploadPrep does not provide an application API, server action or file-storage service intended to receive those files.

Previews use temporary browser object URLs. They are released when files are replaced or the relevant interface closes. A finished file reaches your device only when you choose to download it. Your browser, operating system or download folder may retain or sync that downloaded copy according to your own settings.

UploadPrep stores your selected interface language in local storage so it can be restored on your next visit. You can remove it using your browser's site-data controls. The app does not use an UploadPrep account or profile to store your application files.

On production deployments, UploadPrep may use Vercel Web Analytics to measure anonymous, aggregate page views. Vercel may process the page path, referrer, timestamp, approximate location, browser, operating system and device type. Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies; its daily visitor hash is discarded after 24 hours and is not used to follow a person across websites.

When product analytics is enabled for a deployment, UploadPrep also uses PostHog for limited product-usage events. Events may include the tool or workflow ID, input and output byte counts, processing duration, validation result, interface language and broad device type. They are intended to show whether the product is working—not what a file contains.

Autocapture and session recording are disabled. UploadPrep does not identify account holders because there are no accounts. A payload guard rejects files, binary data, preview URLs and unusually long strings before an analytics event can be sent. If analytics is enabled, PostHog may store a pseudonymous browser identifier locally, and PostHog and network providers may receive ordinary request information such as an IP address, browser type and timestamp.

The support form builds a draft in your own email application. Nothing is submitted automatically or written to an UploadPrep database. If you choose to send the draft, its text is handled by your email provider and delivered to the UploadPrep support inbox. Do not attach passports, identity documents, application files or unredacted screenshots.

UploadPrep links to government sources and may rely on an analytics provider. Those services operate under their own privacy and security practices. Following an external link leaves UploadPrep, and this statement no longer controls what that service collects.

UploadPrep has no server-side retention period for selected or generated files because it does not receive them. You can clear the language preference and any analytics browser data through your browser settings. Analytics records and support email are held through their respective providers and account settings.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights relating to personal information. To ask a privacy question or request access, correction or deletion of information associated with a support message, use the support page or email uploadprepsupport@gmail.com.
