  • name and date printed on the photograph

    Research summaries state that recent UPSC cycles require the candidate’s name and the date the photo was taken to be printed on the photograph. The Commission’s own current upload-instructions PDF does not mention it.

    How we handle it: We do not claim it is required, and we do not add it unless you ask. The two boxes on the photo slot are there if your notification calls for it — leave them blank and nothing is drawn.

  • signature image dimensions

    The Commission states "Image dimensions: 350 - 500 pixels" without saying which axis it measures.

    How we handle it: We size the width into that range, which is the reading that keeps three stacked signatures legible. If your upload is refused, try the same range on the height.
